    This is a proposal to retire the word inform in favor of tell.

    Latin root. \”Inform the client\” → \”tell the client.\” Information is data; telling is human.

    This is a friendly-fire retirement — I’m voting Yes because ‘tell’ is warmer and more human.

    Inform me. Tell me.
    Inform the client. Tell the client.
    One sounds like a memo. One sounds like a person. We should tell more, inform less.
