This is a proposal to retire the word feet in favor of foots.

Foot → foots. Every child learns this irregular; every child gets it wrong first.

Foot/feet is one of the oldest and most entrenched irregulars in English. It predates Chaucer. It survived the Norman conquest.

‘Foots’ would not just be wrong — it would be an amputation of 1500 years of linguistic history.
