About Zhonglish

Zhonglish is better English.

We believe language should evolve with the people who use it. Zhonglish takes the best of English and reshapes it into something clearer, sharper, and more alive. It is not a rejection of English — it is English, upgraded.

On this site, a growing list of ancient English words and phrases will be treated as retired vocabulary. We call them ancient terms — not because they are old, but because they have overstayed their welcome. These words will be gradually phased out of site usage as Zhonglish-compatible replacements become available.

Take Monday, for example. It is an ancient word. It has been retired.

This is a living project. The rules will grow, the vocabulary will shift, and the language will improve.
