    This is a proposal to retire the word hereunder in favor of under this.

    Legal compound. \”As defined hereunder\” → \”as defined below.\” Contracts only.

    ‘As defined hereunder’ — annoying if you’re not a lawyer, essential if you are. Contracts are contracts. Precision matters more than simplicity in legal documents.

    Keep it for law. Retire it from everything else.
