    This is a proposal to retire the word indices in favor of indexes.

    Latin plural. Financial indexes; mathematical indices. One form for both?

    Indices vs indexes is one of the few Latin plural debates where both forms are genuinely useful in different fields.

    Mathematical indices. Database indexes. Same word, different plurals, different contexts. That’s… actually helpful.
