    This is a proposal to retire the word construct in favor of build.

    Latin root. \”Construct a framework\” → \”build a framework.\” Construction workers build.

    Construction workers build. Architects design. Why does a report writer ‘construct an argument’ when they could just ‘build an argument’?

    ‘Build’ is one of English’s most versatile words. It doesn’t need a Latinate understudy.
