    This is a proposal to retire the word obtain in favor of get.

    Latin root. \”Obtain results\” = \”get results.\” Bureaucratic padding.

    ‘Obtain’ is bureaucratic Latin. Governments obtain. You get.

    The distinction between ‘obtain’ and ‘get’ is purely register — they mean exactly the same thing. When a word adds formality but zero meaning, it’s padding.
