    This is a proposal to retire the word lo in favor of look.

    Biblical exclamation. \”Lo and behold\” is a fossil expression.

    Lo and behold — the fossil expression. Nobody says ‘lo’ by itself. Nobody would miss it if it vanished.

    Actually, nobody would notice.
